I love to travel. Nowadays with so many online deals, you don’t have to break the bank when it comes to travel. I am no expert but I find these websites save me a ton of money for my trips.
I go to Google Flights months in advance to search for the best price on flights. The beauty of this site is that the calendar will show you the price of each date without pre-setting the date range.
I also use Hopper app to alert when the best time to book a flight.
YYC deals also offer links to amazing weekly flight deals from Calgary. Some of the deals are almost unheard of. Flying to Hong Kong for $591 round trip including taxes, what?!
Once I find the best deal, I go to the reward website from my credit card and search to match the price that I found earlier since my points stretch way further with travel than any other rewards (shopping or gift cards). If I can book using points to knock off couple hundred dollars then it’s awesome. If the flight is not available or the points conversion is not as good, I go back to book through Google Flights or YYC deals.
I have been using only Airbnb during the last few trips.
Public transit is a great option, both cheap and surprisingly not as intimidated as you might think.
I use Pinterest to pin all the landmarks, restaurants and travel tips for each destination.
Lastly, I will leave you with a quote that I find it so true and inspiring.
“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but having new eyes.”
